Start at Haigeng Park: Begin by taking the Dianchi cable car (滇池索道) from Haigeng Park (note that this is different from the Xishan cable car). Arrive early to avoid waiting in line, as the cable car to West Hill gets crowded, especially during peak times. This cable car will take you directly to the entrance of Xishan Park.
Opt for a Combined Ticket: If you’re short on time or prefer not to walk, purchase a combined ticket. This ticket includes the entrance fee, eco-bus, and the Xishan cable car. The eco-bus will take you directly to the hiking entrance.
